Stupendous Saturday

Our weekends are numbered here in Spain.
I try not to think about it too much, because I have really grown to love this place: the people, the weather, the culture -- you get the idea.
Because we don't know for sure the exact date we will be going back to Utah - we try to take full advantage of what little time we have left here.
Hence this Saturday's conundrums.

First, we headed to our favorite place ever: The Beach!

We went to Castelldefels which is about 20 km southwest of Barcelona.
The beach here seems endless and is much less crowded than the Barcelona beaches - making it a more pleasant experience.

The kids - just jumped right into business:
Paisley playing with her sand toys - and Cruz eating it by the handfuls.

Our Spain Bucketlist includes Nick surfing in Spain - but we have yet to find the waves for it.
It was a surfless day at Casteldellfels, so we decided to rent stand up paddle boards for a wee bit.

SUP Spain!!!

I came in from SUPing, and noticed Cruz sitting in the sand - eating handful after handful.
He is officially The Sand Monster!

Later that night - we tucked the kids into bed, got all dolled up, and headed into Barcelona.
It was our second time leaving the kids with a babysitter since living in Spain - and I must say it was rather refreshing.
We went with our friends David and Estefania  to the Magic Fountain show at Montjuic.
It was Amazing!

The large fountain was set to lights and music, creating a rather romantic atmosphere.
We had been to this exact spot during the day, and it was pretty cool in it's own right, but at night it transformed into a really magical and enchanting place.

Our dear friends, David and Estefania. Estefanis is pregnant with twins, although you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at her.

After the fountain show, we went and got some helado (icecream).

We went to this building - which used to be a bullfight ring.
It made us contemplate the idea of heading to Pamplona to do some running with the bulls - but then rememberd we had sleeping kiddos waiting at home for us. Maybe next time... (yeah right).

Thanks for yet another awesome Saturday Spain!
