Cruzer's First Birthday!

Life has been a bit of a whirlwind roller-coaster lately.
But I just had to post about our Cruzer's first birthday.

Although we had the big party on the 6th, we still made sure to have loads of fun on his actual birthday.
He woke up to Balloons (that never made it up for the party), a few presents, and a sprinkle pancake. He loved the first two - the pancake he could do without.

We then went to playgroup in Sant Cugat - where Cruzer just could not hold still. He was all over the place! It took him a while to learn to crawl - but now he is on the move and is loving it!

Check out this adorable shirt he got for his birthday from one of my friends.

Paisley had a pretty good time also - and resorted to "hiding" when it was time to go.

We then met up with Nick and went to Alcampo (a large store - similar to WalMart) to grab a few things. Cruz was able to go on his first birthday bike ride:

Later that day, The Torner's invited us to go to the beach. We jumped at the invitation since we knew that there is nothing buddy-boy would rather do on his big day.
We didn't actually get to the beach until about 6 pm - about the same time we would start the bedtime routine. As a result - Cruz took a short nap on the way - and it took him a while to warm up to the whole beach thing.

As soon as Cruz saw the waves - he began to enjoy it more and more.

Meanwhile, Paisley and Daniel were having loads of fun!

I attempted to take a one year photo shoot of Cruz on the beach.
He just wasn't having it.
So I gave him an oreo as a bit of an incentive...

And I dare say....
Chocolate really does make everything better!

Until he wanted more...

It was an awesome evening with great friends.
The perfect way to celebrate little Cruz's birthday.

And by the end (after nearly all his clothes were off),
He was a happy little fella!

Happy Birthday Cruzer!
We love you and are so happy you are part of our family!
