Have you ever heard of thumbtack? I think it is pretty cool.
It's a website where you can enter in what professional service you want (such as a photographer) and how much you are willing to spend, and then the professionals contact you with a quote and you can decide if you want their services or not.
This worked great for our family pictures in Kalispell.
My sister didn't know of any photographers in her area - so I used thumbtack to find a local photographer at a really good price.

I love this picture - but just wish Cruz was in it! He was kind of over sitting still at this point :)
