Painting Toast

Every once in a while we need a change from the ordinary.

So instead of whipping out the washable paints and paper the other day  - we painted bread. Then toasted it.  Kids totally ate it up - the activity...not the toast.

We started out with milk and a few drops of food coloring in bowls:

And then let the kids have at it...

At first they were hesitant...."we are painting....bread?"

But it didn't take them long to go to town..

I think we may have a few Van Gogh or DaVinci's on our hands:

Paisley did have a taste of the rainbow toast....

We might have to start painting food more often so my kids will eat things :)

It was a fun, quick activity....next time you need something to do...think of toast painting!
