Belgium Buddies!

I have neglected to blog about a very important part of our lives here in Belgium. This would be our Internship and the wonderful friends we have met here.
We work for a company that basically runs off interns, which means we are currently working with 10 other interns from all over the world - including Slovenia, Romania, Ireland, Sweden, and France.
This has been one of my favorite things about living abroad.

Imagine this - 12 interns from all over the world - 1 hour of lunch - 1 room for eating - 12 minds curious and open to new ways of life. This is a formula for some pretty interesting, and some times even intense lunch conversations.
Let's just say Nick will no longer offer his chair to a woman if he knows she is from Sweden.

Below are pics of some great times we have had with other interns!!

Enjoying Apple Cake in honor of Malin's Bday!

The Slovenians making us yummy donuts for their
Carnival celebration.

Nick and I eating the yummy donuts and
wearing the awesome masks we made for
Slovenian Carnival.
Me with Pnina. It was her last day :(

The group - bidding Pnina farewell

Playing "Articulate!"
We found out who was competitive this night.

The Goldies - we totally won

The Obelis Passi!
(I don't think Nick got the memo to smile)

Thanks for all the great memories!!!

haha cute post! I've learned from Tor all about the attitude women have in Scandinavia- very independent and don't need/want men to treat them differently. Is that how she reacted?? =)
