The day in Gent

Yesterday was a refreshing day in that we were finally able to get out of Brussels and explore the Belgian countryside. We went to a town called Gent, known for preserving much of it's medieval influence. We weren't disappointed. Every sight and building was unique and we even got to explore the Castle of the Counts as well as St. Bavo's Cathedral. Although it rained on us most of the day, it was well worth the trip back in history.
